Privacy Policy

Effective May 12, 2026  ·  AuctionPage is a service of EPage, Inc.

Overview

AuctionPage ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by EPage, Inc., a California corporation based in Redondo Beach, CA. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use AuctionPage — whether as a bidder, seller, or nonprofit organization.

By using AuctionPage you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Information we collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password. Nonprofit organizations also provide their organization name, EIN, and Stripe Connect details.

Auction and bidding activity. We record the items you list, bids you place, auctions you win, and donation percentages you set. This activity is associated with your account.

Payment information. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers. All payment data is handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of transactions (amounts, timestamps, Stripe IDs) and payout status.

Shipping information. Sellers and winning bidders may provide shipping addresses to facilitate item delivery.

Platform messages. Messages sent through AuctionPage's built-in messaging system are stored on our servers. This includes messages between buyers and sellers regarding listings or transactions, and any messages sent to EPage support through the platform. Message content is associated with the accounts of both sender and recipient.

Communications. If you contact us by email, we retain those messages.

Usage data. We collect standard web log data — IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps — to operate and improve the platform.

How we use it

  • Create and maintain your account
  • Process bids, sales, and payouts
  • Send transaction confirmations, outbid notices, and auction status emails
  • Calculate and distribute proceeds to nonprofits
  • Respond to support requests
  • Detect fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
  • Review platform messages when investigating reported violations or mediating disputes
  • Improve and develop platform features

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Sharing & disclosure

Sellers and winning bidders. When an auction closes, we share the necessary shipping contact details between the seller and winning bidder to complete the transaction.

Nonprofits. NPOs registered on AuctionPage can see aggregate information about auction proceeds attributed to their organization. They do not receive individual bidder data beyond what is needed to issue tax receipts.

Service providers. We share data with Stripe for payment processing, and with hosting providers (AWS) to operate the platform. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are not permitted to use your data for other purposes.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of EPage, Inc., our users, or the public.

Business transfers. If EPage, Inc. is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users via email or a prominent notice on the site.

Payments & Stripe

All payment processing on AuctionPage is handled by Stripe. When you enter payment information, it goes directly to Stripe's secure servers. EPage, Inc. does not have access to your full card number or bank credentials.

Stripe's use of your payment data is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy. Seller payouts and NPO monthly transfers are issued through Stripe Connect. By using AuctionPage you also agree to be bound by Stripe's terms.

Messaging data

Messages sent through the AuctionPage platform are stored and retained to support transaction completion, dispute resolution, and enforcement of our Community Standards and Terms of Service. EPage may access message content for these purposes.

Disclosure to other parties. Message content is not shared with third parties except as required by law, as part of a dispute resolution process, or if the content is reported and found to violate our policies. In cases of suspected illegal activity, messages may be shared with law enforcement.

Retention. Platform messages are retained for as long as the associated accounts are active and for a reasonable period thereafter. You may request deletion of your account data, including messages, by contacting us — subject to any legal retention obligations.

Cookies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time, but doing so may log you out of your account.

Data retention

We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter, as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; we will honor this request subject to any legal retention requirements.

Your rights

Depending on your location you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at epage@epage.com.

Children's privacy

AuctionPage is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date above. For material changes we will send a notice to registered users by email.
